Adriana strongly advocates and campaigns on issues such as immigrant and women's rights, public education, health, urban development, and economical justice. She began volunteering at ELACC in 2010, and now works as the Tenant Services Coordinator for the Tenant Services Department. She intends to use her acquired skills as a mentor, organizer, and researcher to create accessible information and disseminate resources available to the tenants she works with. She also looks forward to empowering ELACC’s S.T.A.R.S youth by running a strong and high quality volunteer tutoring program that will help them further their education. Currently, Adriana is pursuing her B.A. in Urban Studies and Planning at California State University, Northridge and serves as a Board Member for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), a non-profit organization that advocates for the rights of immigrant communities in Los Angeles.
