The Board of Directors are highly engaged in ELACC activities, meeting every other month to review program progress for all ELACC departments and participating in annual planning in addition to strategic planning every three to five years. In addition to handling fiduciary responsibilities and directing the President of the organization, members fundraise through contacts with the banking industry, small and mid-sized businesses, and private foundations. They represent a wide array of expertise in land use, community banking, land use law, and related areas, with three members who are also long-time community Boyle Heights residents.
