With few non-profits focused on neighborhood revitalization "from the inside out," ELACC has emerged as a community development innovator. The Enterprise Foundation recognized the ELACC model with their 2007 National Rouse Award, an award given to one non-profit in the country a year to elevate examples of cutting edge work. Having grown from its humble origins into a stable, highly-effective, multi-focused organization producing tangible results in a neighborhood largely forgotten by others, ELACC and its comprehensive approach have proven to be successful. By meeting housing, economic, social, and political needs of our clients, we have begun to revitalize both our neighborhood and our neighbors who share it with us.
