Future Goals While moving forward towards successful completion of its current goals, the Real Estate Department continues to set its sights on meeting constituents' needs in new ways. ELACC seeks to increase its development work and expand the size and scope to include housing projects featuring: Mixed-use developments Retail business and office facilities Charter schools Parks Recreational facilities Homeownership opportunities for low-income first-time homebuyers Permanently affordable rental housing Energy Efficient and Green Development Features In pursuing these new types of projects, ELACC hopes to achieve comprehensive community development wherein the combination of essential housing and needed community resources will synergistically create a more self-sufficient, economically prosperous and livable community.
